We are looking for Junior devops engineer to help us build and enhance platforms to achieve availability, scalability and operational effectiveness. The right individual will embrace the opportunity to tackle challenging problems and use their influence to drive continual improvement. You will also work on the cutting edge of technology, leveraging Kong, Repose, Docker, Mesos/Kubernetes, Jenkins, Nginx, GitLab, MySQL, and Terraform etc.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
- Perform large scale software application configuration and deployment of foundational services.
- Implement advanced DevOps technologies and best practices to continue refine our global deployment infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other functional teams: Engineering & Security to ensure production services, reliability and availability.
- Provide escalation support to technical support engineers."
Required Skills:
- Strong scripting language experience such as Python/PHP/Perl, Javascript, Go.
- Strong shell scripting, Linux command line utilities
- Working experience with MVC Web Application Framework such as Django, Flask, and template engines: Jinja2
- Experience with automate the build process of complex production software systems
- Configuration management tools: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt
- Experience working with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code tools: Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation
- Knowledge of Application Integration technologies: message brokers and distributed task queues
- Solid knowledge of network stack and application networking
- Solid troubleshooting experience within large scale production environment
- Git and related source code management tools and practices
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organization skill, attention to details, ability to independently prioritize tasks.
- BS degree in a related field, MS preferred
